Too many of the foods served by Aramark contribute to diabetes, heart disease, high blood pressure, and other chronic diseases. Leading health organizations like the Mayo Clinic, Kaiser Permanente, and the Obesity Action Coalition have called on food companies to balance their menus by providing more servings of fruits, vegetables, legumes, and grains, and fewer servings of disease-causing meat and egg products. Dozens of other food service managers have done just that—but not Aramark. Aramark continues to serve too much unhealthy and disease-causing food, putting their profits ahead of our health. It’s time for Aramark to serve balanced meals—or to be replaced.
